House Construction Work in the Wichita Area

Cristiano June 2, 2022 3 min read

The design and building process for a house starts with the building site. The building site must be cleared from its foundation down to the ground level, plus an additional 25 feet around the perimeter of the house. To help with the construction, a land surveyor should stake out the boundary lines of the property. If the site topography requires modification, earth-moving equipment may be needed to make the site more suitable for building. A dumpster will be necessary to dispose of debris and waste material that arise during the building process. Portable restrooms are also available for workers to use.

Once the foundation has been completed, the carpentry crew will begin framing the house’s walls. They will also frame the floor, ceiling, and roof skeleton. This is the first phase of house construction work, and it is the most fundamental stage of the process. This phase of the construction process is the most time-consuming, with the longest and most complicated steps being the framing of the house. Once the framing process is finished, electrical and plumbing contractors will work on the rough-in work. Once the framing phase is complete, the next step is the installation of the roof and floor systems.

Having a good contract is essential to the successful completion of a house construction project. An unprofessional agreement will only benefit one party, so it’s vital to make sure everything is in order. The process of building a house is often fraught with conflict, so a good contract will ensure that everything runs smoothly. It’s also vital to keep in mind resale value of the home before making design and furnishing decisions.

A general contractor can be an invaluable asset to any construction project, whether it’s a home renovation, new construction, or a new addition. They will coordinate all the subcontractors, secure bids, file all the necessary permits, organize inspections, and make final decisions. In addition to these duties, general contractors are supervised by local officials. In addition to local regulations, home construction work in the Wichita area is subject to the Uniform Building Code, and meets the provisions of the applicable Uniform Fire Code. The City and County building code enforcement departments issue permits.

Framing of a house starts with the foundation. The foundation is constructed using engineered plans. Once the foundation is complete, the masonry work begins. The space between the foundation and the plinth beam is filled with soil. The next phase of the construction process involves constructing the superstructure. The main components of the superstructure are the beam and column. Once these are complete, the frame for the further construction is ready. Once all the electrical plumbing is complete, plastering work can begin. The cement plaster is generally 12 or 20 mm thick.

After the foundation work, the exterior plastering and finishing work can begin. External cladding is a great way to enhance the elevation of the house. Similarly, interior walls are plastered and painted. Electrical and plumbing fittings are completed in the kitchen and bathroom areas. Once the exterior walls have been finished, the interior walls are plastered and painted. A few other steps in house construction include the installation of windows and doors and completing the foundation work.
